Collaboration is the key to the success of this project.  We would therefore like to introduce the principal national and international partners.

Getsemaní ADESCO

The Getsemaní community is a community of 138 families, located at the entrance of the city of Ahuachapán.  In 1994, community members formed an ADESCO (Associación de Desarrollo Comunitario or Community Development Association), which is a legally recognized neighborhood association.  Since then ADESCO leaders have completed major projects, including electrification, land legalization and household potable water.  They have many other long-term dreams, but their current priority is housing.

Myers Park Presbyterian Church

Myers Park Presbyterian Church, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a vibrant, engaged community of faith.  The church was chartered in 1926 and since then has grown to more than 4,000 members.  MPPC welcomes all persons seeking Jesus Christ and looking to grow and mature as Christ’s faithful disciples.  As part of its mission to serve Christ, the congregation believes in an active outreach program to enrich the lives of all God’s children.  Members are active in dozens of ministries throughout the local area and internationally, including Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity El Salvador

Habitat for Humanity El Salvador is a Christian non-profit organization that builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses.  Partner families participate in the house construction through sweat equity and pay back their no-profit loans.  In this way, Habitat El Salvador provides a hand up to low-income families in need of a decent house.

Habitat El Salvador was founded in 1992 in Santa Ana and since then has expanded its services across the entire country.  We have changed the lives of over 38,500 Salvadorans by facilitating the construction of more than 7,700 housing solutions.  Our program is affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International, which has built over 300,000 affordable houses worldwide in more than 90 countries.
